• Candy Byte Software does not share, sell or rent personal customer information to anyone.
  
  
• Candy Byte Software will not disclose any personal customer information to a third party without the customer's permission, unless:
  a) required by law.
  b) necessary for administrative purposes to maintain our products and services.
  c) it is necessary to contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights or property of Candy Byte Software.
  
  
• When a customer places an order, Candy Byte Software requests customer information such as name, email address, mailing address, phone number, etc. in order to process customer orders properly. All online credit card purchases are routed through SSL (Secure Socket Layers). Credit card numbers and expiration dates are only processed to secure a customer's current payment and are not retained subsequent to the processed transaction.
  
  
• In the case of purchases made by money order or cheque, customers are required to print out an order form from the Candy Byte Software web page, fill it out offline and mail it by regular mail to Candy Byte Software, so that no personal information is gathered online with this type of order. The information received via regular mail is then used to process the order.
  
  
• When a customer registers a product, the customer's name, email address, mailing address, operating system platform, and the serial number of the product are retained so that Candy Byte Software will be able to identify that customer as a legitimate owner of the software if the customer contacts technical support some time in the future. The customer's email address may also be used to contact customers in the event of the discovery of a major flaw in the software or to inform the customer of the existence of an upgrade to the software.
  
  
• Email addresses, mailing addresses and other customer contact information may be stored for our records in order to ensure that orders are processed correctly, technical support issues are resolved properly, and for internal reporting purposes.
  
  
• Candy Byte Software does not use "cookies" to remember any personal information about customers or visitors to the Candy Byte Software web site.
